Enterprises Enterprise Development Fund (EDF)

The Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) in Türkiye provides financial grants to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that have been impacted by earthquake.

The goal of EDF is to bolster economic recovery, facilitate job creation, and ensure sustainable livelihoods.

The EDF is used to restore essential economic infrastructure and provide funding assistance to primary and secondary economic sectors that have suffered economic hardships and losses. By assisting these enterprises, the fund helps to create a clear path for the resumption of economic activities, the creation of additional jobs, and opportunities for businesses to invest in their future.

In addition to its core objectives, the EDF also supports job creation, addresses unemployment, and improves the financial conditions of individuals and families in the affected regions.

The EDF also promotes inclusive business models, environmental sustainability, and community collaboration. This is done by advocating for the employment of marginalized groups and endorsing associations with eco-friendly businesses.

Cooperative Development Fund (CDF)

The Cooperative Development Fund aims to support women-led agricultural cooperatives in Türkiye.

The program prioritizes cooperatives that integrate refugees and migrants as members or workers.

The customized grants will help cooperatives strengthen their businesses, boost capacity, and meaningfully create jobs.

The fund promotes inclusion and supports innovators in developing sustainable solutions.

By targeting women-led cooperatives facing barriers, the program fosters economic recovery, builds resilience, and empowers female leaders.

The overarching goals are to restore essential infrastructure, provide funding assistance, and pave the way for economic activities and livelihoods in communities impacted by conflict, climate change, and displacement.

This initiative contributes to IOM’s commitment to support affected sectors from earthquake, enterprises, and cooperatives in the region.
